Earn extra money, work for the 2010 Census!

There are many different types of positions within the operations that make up the US Census in Salt Lake County. There are some clerical and supervisory positions, but mostly we need people ready and willing to work in their neighborhoods. We need people who want to work close to home, with a somewhat flexible schedule and go door-to-door to help complete the census count.

All Census employees are required to take a short basic knowledge test, complete a background check, and complete paid training. These are temporary, part-time jobs. Due to the nature and duration of the jobs, no benefits are provided, but the work is very rewarding. If you are hired, jobs will last approximately 8-10 weeks, possibly longer.

Earn up to $14.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement!

Serve your community!

You would not only be participating in an important historical exercise, but you can help support your community and your future! Census data is used by businesses and government entities at every level to determine services, funding, and representation.

State and federal funds will be spent somewhere...

Why not in your community? Helping to ensure a complete and accurate count of every person in the county and state will assist in having the maximum dollars returned to our neighborhoods. When people don't mail in their census survey, then the government needs to send people like you door-to-door in your community to assist with the completion of the Census form.
